Maison Aurelys was born from a desire to embody a vision of interior architecture that is sensitive, human-centered, and refined, with the aim of creating a positive and lasting emotional impact on those who inhabit its spaces. Every project is an encounter an opportunity to offer a part of ourselves, to place our talents at the service of our clients, and to transform spaces into places that foster beauty, harmony, and connection.
The Roots…
Founded by Nathalie Marsan, Maison Aurelys & Co is deeply rooted in a distinctly Québecois heritage, shaped by the meeting of city and countryside, culture and nature. Nathalie grew up in Montreal in a French-Canadian family as one of four children.
Her father, a city native, and her mother, a schoolteacher from a village along the St. Lawrence River, instilled in her from an early age a love of tranquility, nature, and family values. Her childhood was marked by a balance between urban life and time spent in the countryside, at the family home near the Vermont border in the United States. There, far removed from commercial distractions, she discovered the art of simple living, surrounded by creativity and sports. Her parents, passionate about culture, introduced their children to a world enriched by books, art, and travel.
The journey
Driven by a deep interest in people and human relationships, Nathalie pursued studies in Human Resources Management at HEC Montréal. Her personal journey later brought her to Europe first to London, then to Paris, where she lived for several years.
It was during this time that she embarked on a professional transition and enrolled at the KLC School of Design in London through a blended learning program combining distance education and in-person courses, while raising her young children.
In 2013, she founded Marsan Interiors, her first company dedicated to interior decoration and design consulting. Since 2019, she has divided her time between Montreal and Paris, cultivating a cosmopolitan and deeply intuitive approach to design.
The name Aurelys emerged naturally as a symbol of a bridge between Québec and France.
Aure, derived from the Latin aura, evokes a gentle breeze, a golden light, a delicate vibration. Lys the fleur-de-lis, emblematic of Québec and a symbol of French nobility reflects the founder’s roots and her attachment to timeless elegance.
Together, Aurelys embodies the meeting of two cultures and carries a promise: to create luminous spaces infused with elegance and a sense of connection.
